Marble and Ceramic are not recommend for outside use in direct sunlight. It is possible for the images to fade over time. If you decide to use these outside place them in a shaded location.
Glass can be used in outdoor application, including swimming pools.
Murals can be cleaned with mild non-abrasive household cleaners. We use Simply Green. Though we recommend water and soap first.
a) Can I use harsh cleaners?No, it is not recommended. Below is a picture of a tile cleaned with harsh cleaner 5 times. The left was side was not cleaned to show what harsh cleaner will do to the tile. While the right side does not have any scratches, the coating was buffed to a shining finish, as seen by the reflection.
b) Can I use CLR?CLR is a Lime/Rust remover, often used to clean tough grime. Below is a picture of a tile cleaned 5 times with CLR. It shows no signs of change. While it shows no change to the tile, it is not recommended. Over a continued period of use with a strong cleaner it could eventually break down the coatings.
For most images we can re-size the image to fit into any space. This usually involves cropping of the image. If you send us an e-mail with the name of the image, the artist and what size you are looking for, we will send you back an example of what the fixed image will look like.
Yes, we can actually use any non-copyrighted image to create our murals. If you do not see the image you wanted on the main page, feel free to e-mail us with the name of the artist you are looking for, or the style of image you are looking for.
